Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for this event! Take a minute to consider what positions you feel you’re best suited for. Perhaps you have a unique talent or resource that we should consider.

Start line setup– 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Event crew will setup the finish structure, event fencing, clock, banners, etc.

Course setup– 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Event crew will set up the course, including mile markers, directions flags, etc. for the 39- and 99-mile courses.

Registration-  4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Event crew will assist in checking in riders, handing out race packets, numbers, chips and answering questions, along with setting up and tearing down the registration area.

Registration- 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Event crew will assist in checking in riders, handing out race packets, numbers, chips and answering questions, along with setting up and tearing down the registration area.

Course marshaling- 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Event crew’s main job is to point riders in the right direction and ensure riders are staying on the race course while cheering them on. Event crew will be stationed along the course as necessary to help with traffic. Your location on the route will determine your start time.

Refueling stations
Event crew will set up and tear down station tents, tables, supplies (refueling drinks, water, cups and snacks) and make sure it stays stocked. Event crew will also encourage all bikers while they are refueling. For teardown, make sure the area is cleaner than when we got there and load everything back on the truck. Please contact Adam Harju if you would like to be a part of an aid station.

Finish line- 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Event crew will retrieve timing chips and distribute medals to the athletes as they cross the finish line.

Medical- 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Event crew needs to be certified medical staff, first aid trained or a medical student. Start time will depend on location on course and may start as early as 6 a.m. and end as late as 6 p.m.

Course Tear Down– 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Event crew will need to be able to lift 25 pounds and climb in and out of a truck easily. Tear down main job is going around after the event is finished and picking up all the course signage and leftover supplies from water stops.

Finish line tear down- 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Event crew will tear down the finish area including clock, fencing, signatures and arch. Make sure everything gets back into the boxes and back on the truck.
