Projects in MN that will be supported by IMBA include: MORC's single track initiative, The Cuyuna Ride Center, COGGS Duluth Traverse Trail and the North Shore Single Track project (Tofte, Grand Marais) All riders and racers are encouraged to join their local IMBA chapters, and future IMBA Chapters including: MORC, COGGS, and the Superior Cycling Association. Superior Cycling Associatoin is dedicated to the promotion of cycling in Cook County, MN. We cover all things cycling in Cook County, Bike Safety Rodeos, Safe Routes to School, club rides, bike touring, and, SINGLETRACK DEVELOPMENT. We are parntering with the US Forest Service and IMBA to develop singletrack riding at the Briton Peak trail head in Tofte and at Pincushion Mountain in Grand Marais. We have about 5 miles of singletrack on the ground currently, with 15-20 planned in the coming years.
Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to safeguarding the future of mountain biking in Minnesota through the promotion of responsible riding, establishment and maintenance of mountain biking trails, and preservation of Minnesota's natural resources. MORC currently has just under 100 miles of singletrack trails in the Twin Cities Metro area and the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trail System that are maintained throughout the year. MORC has developed one of the best, if not the best, urban singletrack trail networks in the United States. MORC continually works with local land managers to maintain and preserve current trail systems, advocate for more trail opportunities and improve off-road cycling throughout the state of Minnesota.
