The Lutsen 99er movement continues June 29, 2013, high above the shores of beautiful Lake Superior. This is a 99 mile (39 mile option also offered) race course that takes advantage of the scenery and topography of Minnesota's North Shore. We will start at Lutsen Ski Resort, in Minnesota’s Sawtooth Mountains, overlooking majestic Lake Superior, as we begin a fantastic Category 3 climb. Once over the ridgeline, the course takes advantage of the glacially sculpted terrain, rolling hills, and numerous lakes and streams. This area is the southern range of the Boreal Forest. You will be riding on sections of road and trail that see as much moose traffic as people traffic at any given time
A kids race (ages 5 to 13) will also be held on the morning of June 30. Bring the entire family and make the Lutsen 99er a family affair in 2013. Register today to ensure your slot.

Minnesota High School Cycling League
Lutsen 99er is pleased to be charitable partners with the Minnesota High School Cycling League.
The Minnesota High School Cycling League promotes personal development and teamwork through mountain bike racing, and encourages the formation of teams at public and private high schools. With the cooperation of local race promoters and our sponsors, the MN League organizes a first class series of races designed for high school aged riders. The MN League makes high school racing the easiest route for student athlete participation in cycling, and a happy byproduct is the creation of cycling families as parents become engaged.
"It's been great that people can relate to our goal," says Gary Sjoquist, Minnesota League Director, "of making mountain biking a real high school sport."
Look for details on how you can support the Minnesota High School Cycling League during the registration process.
Lutsen 99er has reserved entries available to two sold-out mountain bike events: The Chequamagon Fat Tire Festival and the Leadville Trail 100 MTB Race!
If you hope to race at these events and missed your chance during the lotteries, try your luck at Lutsen by entering our race day drawing. Find details on how to win here.
